We've fitted a 2.4g digital camera (http://www.parkingcameras.com)

top of the back of our Tischer. This is powered, whenever we're moving, from the 12 volt outlet in the camper. The transmitter sits on the shelf at the top of the wardrobe.
The monitor is powered from a 12 volt outlet in the truck, the receiver sits in a cubby hole forward of the gear lever and the monitor itself is clamped to the windscreen.
We got the widest angle camera we could find. We've mounted it on an angled support and turned it 90 degrees. We can see the road behind and vertically down the back of the camper for reversing. The monitor is also turned 90 degrees.
Excellent signal, pretty good picture, works for us.
