Have grandchild here... life generally on hold.
Managed to escape to do a couple of jobs on both demountables in the short burst of sunshine we had today.
Wire wool impregnated with WD40 to remove the rust stain marks off lower legs of Tischer plus looking at best way to extend the 12N & 12S cables by six inches.
and fitting coachbolts into the bike rack holes on rear of the SunValley. (Weird rack that holds front forks... ugly contraption...it's gone now) and generally doing tidying jobs before it is marketed seriously.

Also - have a cold starting so don't feel like doing anything really (sympathy accepted - real men can die of this you know)

Having finished the play and cleared the village hall it's holiday time. Have spent three days cleaning and preparing the boat for the summer. Turned on the fridge while it's still on mains power to get that down to temperature. It's the limiting factor on battery life. Will last two days without a long run or mains power to charge the batteries (bearing in mind that everything except the batteries is 30 years old). The little dinghy had a flat battery, but charged that up and dropped J into the village to go to the library. Seems to be running OK but have not changed the battery since we bought it SH 7 years ago, so maybe it's getting old too (it's 50 at least but engine is only 10). Never have had to charge it before no matter how long it's been left.
Will take the boat for a shakedown upriver over the weekend, just to make sure all is OK before setting off downstream for a longer cruise.
Nolan phoned to check one or two details on the camper. Tischer have started the detailed drawings on the changes to get the oven fitted. Still n track for end of June delivery.

opera, not seen that in awhile was handy as mobile device browser on smartphones,
I use chrome as it offers properly full screen (useful on a laptop) other than that it doesn't offer me much else really
