Hi we have started to look for our first demountable camper to put on our Hilux double cab.

What are the options for putting an awning on the back for a bit of storage space?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve & welcome to the Forum.
As far as awnings go, you have a couple of choices.
A fiamma style wind out awning on the side with safari sides on to convert in to a room.
Or like I have done, a motorhome awning like a vango. This gives me approx. another 10 x 10 room.

Hello again Steve & welcome,
There is someone on here found a wind out awning short enough to fit across back
(which is actually the logical place to fit one really)

We use an air tube awning which is very easy to pump up and peg out, it fixes in a standard type awning rail on the back above the door. I can almost do it single handed. Its easier with two though.

No problem but the web pic has cut off the view of the rear opening, it has a window and fly screen built in.

I have one of those. I never use it because you can't open and close the rear door with it rolled out.
