That's right folks you buy the guide book & it has 390 FREE campsites listed.
They're NOT "Campsites" though, they are local business land owners who want to sell you their produce or a meal at a pub etc etc.
You simply have a valid windscreen sticker & introduce yourself when you arrive.
You are under NO obligation to purchase from them though.
Watch the video to find out more
Only one minor problem at the moment though .......
They've SOLD OUT until March 2015

Interesting concept and I was reading about this after mention here the other week,
nobody likes paying to stay on a campsite and listen to
caveman owners whining on all weekend, the only other thing I've found compares vaguely with Britstops might be.....

Britstops though,
quite like the idea, one or two terms in Steve's comments might apply to us equally as well I suspect.
Will you try it Andy, sounds your sort of thing I thought

For the sake of 25quid, I think it's worth a try. Based on normal campsite fees, after 2 nights you've broke even

We are members of brit stops used it last summer was very good pub we stayed in was excellent the best steak iv had in a long time. Plus as we were first got a EHU as well.
Here is a pic or 2

Will probably join again next year. After we met some people at a party last night who drove their VW T4 camper to Scotland we think we can make it in our rig, cruise at 55 or so takes a couple of days they said, so if I can get a 2 week stretch off in the summer may try it and use brit stops along the way.

Brit Stops is the new and much smaller British version of France Passion.
In 2011 I spent 8 weeks in France using them. Mainly vine yards and farms. Only stopped on 3 other campsites during the trip.
We came back with many bottles of wine, but I fell ill, so the wife had to drink it all. Now almost recovered, so in December 2014, I placed my order for next years book and sticker.
Ones outfit has to be fully self contained, like a motorhome; although many places provide drinking water. Some places also provide waste facilities - but don't expect any.
Same applies to Brit Stops, I'm told.
