Who knows about drones/quadcopters?

I know I'm not very good at them after wrecking a couple so far and I've had an idea but just like normal I need the collective here to help me achieve it;
Although I can't find it right now Overland featured a nifty few minutes of footage of their Stratford beano and it looked really good,
Finades scheme involving a parade of campers is not going to fly but this could and it would look great as an intro for potential viewers on here, + facebook page & Youtube, then we can exploit a further group we haven't explored yet

Wish I could.... although I've seen a local fly one with in the field we walk the dog (with a tiny child in tow) although I doubt it had a camera attached. Never seen one before then... sorry

and so it would appear as another peculiarity of our laws,
that 'local' is allowed to pitch up and fly one of these pretty much anywhere he feels, a professional has to carry all sort of insurance and attend course before doing the same,
at least if their rates are to be believed
we shall seek out another solution

I feel I might add a little background here,
A professional I spoke to this afternoon was espousing the virtues of modern quadcopters
this for example.....
supposedly flies itself, its camera remains stable under extreme amateurism not only which when its battery falls below safe level it returns to starting point at your feet and lands itself !
Sadly I
can't have one, probably as result the last couple I've been given
having returned to earth in a more abrupt fashion

I have a friend who was a bit of a pioneer with these things, if you need to know something I sure he'd help - he's on my fb list.
No personal knowledge tho' (I did do 30 hrs of a ppl years ago but abandoned it when I went overseas) I guess having dexterous thumbs us the key with quadcopters.
