Seems the first one is a American (‘Murican) invention for overlanding banjo players, you throw it off the roof, blow it up and then drive aboard (your insurers may not pay out if such stupidity goes predictably wrong but you could always say that the road flooded or something)
The youtube vid (you’ll need to fast forward to keep your sanity) is a trailer boat (Myark – cool pun) that has absolutely no drawbacks other than side winds. And the fact that it looks like it fell off the International Space Station.
