Am I right in saying that the legs on this unit, stay constantly attached to the unit? It looks like they would remain in their own housing, just wind them up/down? I do prefer that idea rather than having legs that are bolted on the outside, apart from them being unsightly, if you don't take the time to remove them (and find a space to store them) whilst driving, the possibility of knocking them resulting in damaging the camper's shell must be a worry.
Storing legs under the bed is OK I guess but they are still taking up valuable space that we would use for other things no doubt.zildjian wrote:Clemenson I believe stay in-situ yes.
Apollo for example stow all four beneath bed, Skarosser rears stay put & fronts stow neatly in a horizontal position underneath,
I could leave them attached ready for use but at £200 each I thought better of it than have someone back into one in a car park somewhere.
These Clem's though look quite a neat solution don't they
Leaving the jacks in place is common practice among American manufacturers of course, including the Northstars that sold here, it's just that Clemenson enclose them in the bodywork that sits outside the pickup bed.earthman wrote:Clem's look like the best idea to me, other manufacturers, take note please.
