Who knows about drones/quadcopters?

It may be a bit off topic but one of my neighbours who lives about a mile from my house flys a full sized unlicenced/unregistered helicopter out of his garden!! Apparently it cant be registered as it doesn't conform to CAA regulations.

How he got it into the country in the first place I'm not sure but God knows what would happen if he crashed it!!

how is that possible, I mean Kudos obviously, but is that even legal and where can I buy one?

Well, there are a few video's about, mostly from elsewhere in the world.
suppose you can build a flying machine for use on your own land/air space if you so wish

As an armchair enthusiast of all things requiring training/effort, one of those would fit the bill just great,

bolt on a camera or amusing weapons suite and I'd be amused all afternoon honest I would,
