Isnt it a 'thing' though without a leisure battery completing the circuit some aspect of caravan/motorhome wiring dont work properly :geek:


meant to add, can you just 12V direct to each motor and see how fast they turn

Hi folks, Well we are up and away to la France today (via a dancing weekend in the Lakes!) Had a trip to a good accurate weigh bridge tho yesterday and rather horrified to see we were 200kg over on the rear axle and overall and only marginally under on the front. We are going anyway and chancing it. Foolish maybe but I suspect we would be over anyway with the North star empty. Thank goodness for the airbags which make it look quite level and nice. Also put the tyres up to 43psi.
So my question today to you my friends of fountains of info camper wise, is which truck do we have to buy to carry our North star which must weigh close to 1.2t with us, dogs, bikes, water full diesel etc etc? WE use a Ford extra cab of 2003 vintage at mo. Merci beaucoup mes amis. Tony
