Fifteen years ago this month, having just spent the winter in Greece, we shared the ferry from Patras back up to Ancona with five other campers/motorhomes from Germany. They'd been part of a larger group following some of the Silk Route but had gone off on their own in order to spend some weeks travelling around Syria. Their descriptions, of a beautiful country and people, left us in no doubt that it was a place we should visit one day. Sadly it seems we've probably left it too late.
You're so right. It's awful. We visited Auschwitz a couple of weeks ago and in amongst the emotions and sheer horror of it all you wonder how the world could ever have let that happen - then you look around our world see we haven't learned. Sadly we live in a world where far too often it's the scum not the cream that makes it to the top.

Best wishes

Insulated and panelled the back doors of my tranny van. Stood back and admired my handiwork. Discovered I had panelled over the lock release button, so the doors could not be opened from inside. Doh!

Having a nice lie-in, because it turns out that there is such a thing as rain in Norway after all.

Figured out how to panel the side walls of my tranny van. So now I've got about two inches of Kingspan, struts inside the lower cavities to provide stiffness and supply hard points to facilitate getting a good fixing in the later stages when fitting out. All of this covered over with 10mm self adhesive and reflective foil-backed closed-cell foam insulation, got from Kiravan. Joints taped to complete the vapour barrier and panelled horizontally with 8mm V lining from one of the big stores. (B n Q). Right side wall done up to window height, left side still to be finished.

Saw two camper on way down, both heading opposite direction, i'll see if dashcam caught them once we get parked up,
One was. (I think) a member from Midlands a flatbed van body with white camper and some red detail on it, i'll have to look it up later,
The other on M27 a hilux/bimobil
(like Darren's) if not actually Darrens,
seem to have left dashcam lead a home so I'll buy one tomorrow if I see one, or wait and see if images ares till on card week after next
