That was a nice one was it a four berth & did it have a shower & hot water? There is a fire in mine but I don`t think there was a water heater I do not have any gas to try it at the moment & the electrics are a bit dicky there is one socket someone has put in strait of the mains & above the gas hob durr will be sorting that out.
Already replaced the rotten floor & walls as it was lowered onto the grass, it must have sat there for a while when I took out the old floor it started to rain from the insulation. The legs have been subject to the sea air as parts of the clamps are eaten away need to replace them for the strength but will have to look on ebay for something to do it with.I am going to adapt 12 volt jacks that I have had for a while to lift it up down. I was going to build one myself to my own design but have no where to do it I am a kitchen & bathroom fitter by the way so doing the work isn't the hard bit but sourcing the bits maybe.
Thanks for the info

Peaky wrote:Hi Garry & Dawn & welcome to the Forum. I used to own an Adventure camper back in 2003 & it was a Great little camper. The only reason we sold it was because it was just that bit too small for a growing family of 4 :(
They are indeed American & were originally sold by Niche Marketing at Manby in Lincolnshire.
I bet they could give you some additional info on what you now own & possible spares contacts.

Sounds like your cracking on with it Garry, I can't really remember much about the details of mine :(
It didn't have a toilet so we bought a porta potti, but it did have a shower though.
The heater was a blower, we bought a 10' x 10' awning for the rear which the kids slept in as there wasn't enough space inside for 4.
I had tie down brackets made which were welded to the chassis & imported some 'happijac Qwik-Loads' from the states to fasten it to the truck.

Those are the only photos I have of it, due to an old computer crashing & losing tons of photos

Post some pics please, so we can watch your progress ;)

Old floor new floor
Found a bit more rot under the mattress going to be a little more tricky than the floor to replace hopefully have a chance tomorrow. I could scoop out the ply with my hand it was that rotten & removing the floor, the insulation was raining water on to the drive. It has been lowered onto grass by the last owner probably for a long time by the state of it. The legs are also eaten away by the sea air will have top find some replacement clamps as the strength has been compromised & new bolts but the bracket will clean up & paint.

Looking good a lot of work, but satisfying when you start to replace all the wet bits.
Keep the pics coming and hope to see you in June

Welcome to the group.

Awesome professional looking restoration - ~I'm well impressed! It makes the work I undertook on my old Apollo look rather pathetic!

Good luck with the rest of the work.
