Demountable camper group

I reckon these are turning up as there's not so much on the market for truck campers here in UK, somebody enterprising could open a little shop for stuff like this.

I definitely need a pair of side curtains in a strong PVC for my rig - maybe not a full enclosure, as when I use the safari room thing, there is a big draughty gap where the truck is, that would be a big draughty hole if I demounted it.

I think that two squares of PVC, with holes at the bottom for elasticated peg straps (two rows, one for 'mounted' height - one for 'demounted' height), and a length of awning piping at the top (slides in on the bottom of the 'Luton' overcab that has convenient awning rails) - would do the job.
There's a marine place ion the broads that do that stuff, I'll have a chat when I have time.

they don't seem dear at all, any problem with them, I ask because I screwed four (slightly smaller admittedly) to a stack of pallets and tried moving camper on it and they just twisted and the bearings fell out,

I was thinking
mount a castor on the solid base of a short piece of tube with a base (think upturned opened tin can shape)
using these as a shoe to drop each leg into, as and when you need the mobility and drop them off in camping mode

what do you think?

They work fine for me. They look pretty tough and the advert says they're good for 600Kg. I've got them bolted on with 2 bolts each foot and only takes a couple of minutes to fit or remove them. I had to drill a couple of holes in the base plate of each castor as the pre-drilled ones don't line up. Your shoe idea could work but I imagine it might be just a little wobbly.

Hmmm, good point, I don't suppose it would make so much difference bolting them on, in my case its only to park it sideways in handy slot on drive over Winter and back out again in Spring
