Ey up!
Re: Ey up!
Thanks Peakymon, I should know what I'm up to by the weekend so will give you a shout!
Re: Ey up!
The appeal of many with these campers IS the fixed bed ready to go.
Don't know of anything especially negative about the Mitsubishi they certainly sell OK,
on the campers, well they do come up for sale quite often and are (very) cosy, for myself and from what I can see and what isn't mentioned in the advert is the bed issue would quickly become a drag and certainly affect resale,
there are other makes for that sort of money,
'Bookend's thread elsewhere this month on here details his search for an Apollo which are made in Lancashire if your interested,

My first daft question - can a bike rack be fitted when there is a rear door?
Thanks in advance for anyone that takes the time to read
Chris
We've not bothered with a rear bike rack on 2 counts:-
1. I don't want to add any additional weight that far back on the camper thus resulting in a greater counter balance.
2. We'd prefer to leave the access to the rig easy, especially if it's raining.
We've invested in 2 folding bikes which we put on the rear seat of the double cab & strap in using the seat belts. This helps to keep the centre of gravity forward in a bid to keep the whole rig level

These are the right money for an occasional ride out without going daft.........in my opinion

Wow, loads of info already. This is amazing!
I found this one which I don't think you ave in your for sale links: http://www.gumtree.com/p/campervans-mot ... 1095883240
I will get in touch with Nolan when I'm back home.
I'll think about the bike issue, I love mountain-biking so not sure about the folding bike.
Anyhow, thanks so much, I'll check back in ina couple of days when we have a plan (or are more confused than ever)!

Re: Ey up!
Hello and welcome. I put my full size bike across the back seat of my double cab. I need to take the front wheel off however. I don't think you could get two in there though.

Re: Ey up!
I suppose it's not a practical idea carrying them inside the camper co's of mud etc, I know we've seen them on racks carried off the back,
some of the Skarrosers' have a roof/luggage rack too of course.

Re: Ey up!
Hi Chris,
As a former owner of an EC6 skarosser which is almost the same as the one you have mentioned, I am sure this is a special
edition as they definitely have a bigger bed in the luton which was a luxurious king size and it was such a bonus not to have to make that up every night, especially if one wanted to stay up watching rugby on telly and the other can pull the curtain across and read
.
As for the bikes we would put the seat cushions up on the bed and straddle the bikes across the bench seats holding them in place with bungees. This would take about 10 mins. once you got used to doing it, and it would allow access to camper while travelling, leaving enough room to perch on seat for a cuppa if necessary. It was probably worth it if you were going to stay in the same place for a few days before moving on.
Good Luck with your search,
Sue
