Re: My Hilux / Tischer unit
Yes a car port is this winters project. It was supposed to be built sooner, but a good job it was not as we now have the chance to build it high enough.

Re: New member introducing myself.
Well that's a surprise. Just had the renewal invitation from Just Kampers. And this year it has come in at £530, substantially cheaper than last year, and just a little under the C&MH club quote. I have confirmed with them that everything is exactly as before and will just let that renew. I thin...

Re: New member introducing myself.
The seating is correct. Min is the "extra cab" aka 1 1/2 cab version and only has 2 rear seats (with not a lot of leg room)

Re: New member introducing myself.
No luck from Howdens here I am afraid. I do now have a quote from the Caravan & Motorhome club which looks a competetive price, but I have reservations about what they are covering. I answered all their questions saying it was a Toyota Hilux and Tischer demountable camper but the quote says &quo...

Re: New member introducing myself.
I have made an enquiry to Howdens. The agent is looking into it for me, but here I think is the nub of the problem. She had never heard of a demoutable and does not know which of the many insurers they use will cover them. Any chance you could post the name of the actual insurance company that insur...

Re: New member introducing myself.
It was a Howden branch in Wales I tried (not surprising as given to me by Nolan) I could try my local branch, or perhaps you could let me know which branch you use? Just Kampers insisted on a tracker, supplied by them but fitted to the truck. I can't see someone pinching the camper from it's legs on...

Re: New member introducing myself.
This time last year we had paid the deposit and started the search for insurance before completion. I started with a list of potential insurers from Nolan of NSR and phoned them all, and one by one they declined to quote for a demountable. Howdens were on that list and were no longer quoting quoting...

New member introducing myself.
Hi all. It's been nearly a year since I bought a Toyota Hilux and a Tischer Trail 260S demountable camper. Thoroughly enjoying using it. I knew we were buying a niche product in the UK, but I don't think I realised just now niche. In the times we have been away in it this year, we have only seen 2 d...
