COLD TEST .
It seemed like a good idea to try to work out what amount of heating I need in the camper .We stayed at The Winking Man pub near Flash to give it a good test .
We have electric hookup and are using a fan heater , extra blanket over the quilt . It performed very well we ditched the extra blanket and used the heater on 1kw setting with the stat turned down to 1/2..
Quite a surprise to see the view this morning ! This when I wished we had 4wd. I think the pub has a web cam if you want a laugh at us trying to escape later .

They have three rates 52p for public 46p, for taxi drivers and 28p for domestic . So I got 11.8 litres (7kg) for £3.41 as apposed to £20ish for an exchange bottle . What a bargain .
Jim, what gas system have you got installed?

I was going to go with bottles but your thread has made me think

I used "Gasit "6kg
You have to use a lot of gas to make it pay, but i like the convenience of refilling more easily and only having to carry 1 bottle.
We tend to wild camp more so use gas heating. I think if we stayed on sites all time with EHU we could use electric heating and would not use enough gas.
