2017 Meetup; 23rd & 25th June
Re: 2017 Meetup; 23rd & 25th June
Admin is recreating the paperboy at the start of Farty Towels changing the name of the Hotel into alternative 'Funnies'.
Mind you, i know who they are, and should they dare tamper with my Forum name, Mrs 666 will have words at this years gathering!

I have three weeks off around this time so we have decided to go to France instead . I was looking forward to it , but I hope 2/3 weeks in France will compensate .
I have phoned and emailed the site and they have not got back to me , so I guess they are not too interested in giving me a refund . If any one wants to go as me(free) and use my deposit PM me for the details .

I've been on the fence with this one. My original plan was to come, stay in the area for the week and then go to one of my bike club events down Buxton way, the following weekend, before heading home.
However, i'm going on a 3 month road trip at the beginning of July, so trip preparations and not wanting to be away from Sandy even longer than I am going to be already, means I won't be coming.
Hopefully i'll be up and running for next year. Enjoy yourselves folks.

Ladies and Gents,
I recall that for the first annual meet it was suggested that we wear name tags so we could be easily identified – that seemed to go down like a lead balloon.
A thought. For those of us with failing memories and the inability to relate user/forum names to real names might I suggest that those attending the meet this year display their names (user and real) on their vehicle or demountable door (nice large letters for those who also have failing eyesight).
This would certainly help myself and Mrs. Lost and save the embarrassment of continually asking for names, mistaking names, etc.
We will employ this tactic unless anyone can come up with a better idea.

Sure we could all manage that couldn't we, in the absence of an actual personalised doormat this looks a pretty simple solution

Personally, Zildjian could splash out and buy everyone a demountable group T-shirt with our name on the back
