Last night we tried Buxton town centre 24 hours parking £3.50. Had a good day in the town . The market square is the highest in England and we did get rather buffeted at night with the strong winds . I slept through but with the wind lorries and late night revellers , Jane not so good . Great spot for shops pubs takeaways if you are a good sleeper .
Matlock today . Pleanty of overnight parking for £1 . Matlock Bath train station is quiet and secluded .

Recommend. Kirkstone Pass Inn , the highest inhabited place in Cumbria. Very welcoming good pub food and good beer.
