Hi both.
I have just been looking over your repairs, nice job. The rot was identical to ours in exactly the same places. We had it repaired by Apollo, and we now wish we really hadn't as they rushed us over £3000 and the whole experience was appalling. We had the seams resealed whilst they had it and that work was unbelievably bad. Never again!

Very disappointing report on Apollo Quenton, nobody has money to throw around just now and this is just the sort of thing diverts potential buyers away from UK products.

glad both of you haven't yet left us as a result though

Might be worth speaking to Citizens advice if the work is less than expected, they offer good advice after all and its free

No not leaving, we have recovered and put it down to experience but it did shake us as we thought we would have a first class service and a good job done by the manufacturer. The whole experience was anything but good but I can't help feel sorry for them as they were flooded on Boxing day and last time we spoke the insurers were telling them that they were not covered. Luckily our camper only got it's feet wet being jacked up above the flood water. As for the rot repair that seems ok so I'm happy with that but now kicking myself for not doing it at home as the cost seemed to be far above the work involved.Had they given us some idea, a rough estimate I wouldn't have minded so much but they just went ahead did the job after many weeks of delay and then presented us with the bill. The worst aspect was the resealing job, to say that it is poor would be a compliment!
There are other issues like the clevis pins missing on our Torklift steps so that the steps could have fallen off into the road at any time on the way home. The step retaining mechanism put back on the wrong way round and our emergency leg repair kit has gone walkies. Our new carbon fibre leisure battery' was left connected so when we picked up the camper it had Zero charge in it, totally flat which probably means it will need replacing sometime soon, our next trip using solar power only will soon find it out.

We are putting it behind us and looking forward to hitting the road.

On the face of it , this appears to be a horror story but as Apollo are Forum members, maybe they might like to express their side, obviously the flood and no insurance must be of great concern for their business.

It would be a great shame if they stopped trading as i believe they are the only UK De-Mountable company.

Glad that you are back on the road again, now all we need is the summer to appear.

Yes I agree, shame our email to them was ignored regarding the issues but we left it at that as they had enough to deal with. It was particularly upsetting as I really held them in high esteem which meant that I felt particularly let down but such is life.
