I'm asking around for a used one to view meantime
and if you haven't already you should read through our buyers guides on all popular UK units
so you're armed with pertinent questions before viewing any.

oh and buy a Damp meter cheap off ebay (your new best friend) :)
Thanks Zildjian,...I don't really know enough about any of them to be leaning towards one make as such, we've just been looking on line at the Tischer 240 & 260 for example, that looks like it may suit our requirements also?
Without being able to try one in the flesh as so to speak, it's hard to know for sure.

I have had the same experience, I didn't find it easy to contact them by phone,.....I did wonder if they had actually gone bust.

Despite the fact there's more than one person there of telephone-answering-age they must just stare at it ringing off the hook in wonderment

might be a Lincolnshire thing I'm not familiar with :D

If you go during the week, there's always somebody there. When we called in for a nosey, Greg was away but the guy in the workshop showed us round & answered any questions we had no problem :)

Hi

Considering buying a decent SH demountable for my doublecab just for my wife & I.
Are any Scottish based owners of Tischer or NorthStar, Karosser etc. doublecab campers here that I could take a look at?
Travelling down to Lincolnshire or Wales in the off-chance doesn't really make sense, however we will be in York for a week in April so any Yorkshire owners of Tischer, Northstar or Karosser who don't mind my wife & I having a look at your camper & asking stupid questions I'd really like to hear from you.

Websites are great however some of the manufacturers spec & photographs leave a bit to be desired and you cannot beat the real thing.

Thanks

Peter

Hello Peter welcome to the group.
Makes perfect as you say to view one, I'll place your question on our facebook group page for a bit more coverage,
if all else fails there's Whitby group meet-up june 21'st weekend and you should find numerous campers there
meantime I'll think who's in Scotland you could look over,
can I suggest you both glance over our buyers guides and daily sales thread

UK sales happen, but European are every day
