Hello & demount self build project
Hi all. I've been building campers since the late 60's (J4 van) probably influenced by John Wickersham (build your own campervan) who was my PE teacher at school. My new project is to put a demount on the back of an Iveco 35 10 chassis from which I have removed the panel van bit (dented & rusty) from just behind the cab. So if ok, may be doing a bit of brain picking. Been a member of the Self Build club for a few years. Cheers Roger and Jean down in Cornwall.

Welcome Roger & jean,
if you have any more info or images of past projects we'd love to see those (we like something technical)
where in Cornwall, I was in Hayle last week and we have another member 'surfglobe' there abouts

Hi zildjian. We are in St Austell. I have a website here that I have been meaning to do something with for several years now, but it does have the pictures of some of my vans, but little else. Had a quick bypass last year so not done a lot recently and still catching up.

Re: Hello & demount self build project
When the garage and shed are full, where else but the kitchen to build a camper. She's very understanding. The Citroen is nearly finished (will take some pics) and we are using it while I build the Iveco. With the Iveco, I have some earlier in progress pics and will take some current ones and start a thread in the (Self builders & projects please) section shortly.
PS.don't do Facebook much. That's her thing.

Dishwasher makes a handy degreaser, (you might want to salt that one away)
I always mention Facebook although the Two often mirror each other in content, but some find it convenient place to host pictures.
We have a regular procession of self-build's here, ands I know 'RichC' in Leicester had an Iveco based vehicle before going demountable
