Hi people,
Mike and Jo here -we purchased our Demountable last year -a Hilux with a Pod on the back -so far so good ! we took it down to southern Morocco last November and having joined the Caravan Club took in some of their sites in the UK.
it seems demountables are a rather rare breed in the UK -for example I have only come across one Company that will insure us-Camptons are all very well but it kind of feels better when there is more competition! -the Caravan Club Insurers didn't seem to want to quote -even when I said I didn't expect cover when detatched ie a motorhome. So any suggestions on this front gratefully received -We look forward to keeping in touch and hopefully will be able to meet up one of these days - will keep our eyes out for any meetings that show on the forum -meanwhile spring is in the air -covers off the vehicle and getting ready for next trip
aye MikeC

Hi Mike and Jo
Welcolme from a neighbour in Somerset, glad you found the forum. Nice bunch of people here all willing to offer advice.
There is a thread about insurance, Camptons are the one we all recommend and I believe offer good service when needed.
We do have the first gathering in june, why not come along, it will be good to meet all the virtual friends for the first time.

We have our first meeting coming up end of June in Derbyshire if you fancy joining us,
See the '2015 social' thread details first page.

Insurance thread running here right now on just this same problem,
Campton/adrian Flux/CCC also do it, its all in FAQ's

And if you have any picture of your new vehicle we'd love to see that too,

Just send them me in an email and i'll put them up here

Hi Mike & Jo,

Camptons are indeed probably your best bet. There are several of us on here that use them, as they know exactly what they're talking about :)

Agree....they were very very good when someone smashed into my truck. Got me sorted really quickly and understand our unusual rigs. :)
