pickup insurence only?

Hello, I am Alan.,,Can anyone help with this ,,, I believe I only need to insure the pickup (DFSK, Loadhopper) and still carry the pod as a load (uninsured). Is this
legal ? . I have been insured through Safeguard and now they say they cannot find a insurer for me ( I am not sure if they just insured the pickup and the pod as a load??) . The pod is a 1989 romahome (off a demised bedford rascal) and used on my 2019 Loadhopper ) would I need to tell the any insurer what I am carrying?? if I am within the weight limits? . I have Admiral insurence standing by(pickup only) .
Thanking you all . Cheers Alan.

Camper or pod is technically just a load as much as anything else you carry be it logs, shopping, camping equipment or canoe and isn't legally required to be insured no.

Seems to be a trend amongst insurers this last year in not offering demountable insurance, my insurance broker [campton] seem to have handed over their portfolio of customers to A-Plan
who I'm currently with.

We do have a thread on insurance you might like to see
