Bonjour from Reading

Hi everyone.

Have joined this site prior to collection of our Ranger and Tischer cabine this month. Main reason for joining the site is info regarding insurance, interested to see that companies such as Adrian Flux are mentioned, when I enquired they said no, will try again. Also after insurance that allows up to 8 months in Europe, Caravan guard do this but not for demounts.Planning to travel in Eastern Europe Any info welcome.

Our original demount was a self build by my husband on a GMC LHD pickup, loads of fun. Since then we have toured in various vehicles, currently making our way round New Zealand in a 1980 Bedford TK horsetruck now housetruck.

Bonjour to you too!
welcome glad you found the insurance subject useful, insurance enquiries with call centres usually go something like;
'Yes of course we insure demountable's and know all about them no problem, so how many wheels does it have again?'
so its great to have a list of people that can offer cover,
can you let us know how you get on or maybe add your vote to the poll at head of subject ta.

Welcome to the Forum Vivien

I hope you get your insurance sorted for the Ranger/Tischer outfit, which model have you gone for?

The GMC LHD pickup & self build De-mountable sounds interesting, do you have any photo's of it that you could post?
