M5 Services/stopover

Whilst travelling down to Exmouth for a dog walking holiday we were looking for a rest area that was dog friendly. We had driven into quite a few that were unsuitable, some were even multi-level car parks.
I can recommend the M5 Gloucester Services. It is just past junction 11A. southbound.
The site has designated dog walk pathways around it. Outside tables and seats under a covered area next to the food hall.
Food quality and range is good although a little expensive and camper 24hour stopover £25.oo

Definitely worth a visit if your looking for a stop. It is even set with a grass covered roof to blend in with the countryside.

They are dear places of course, but somewhere you can feel happy letting dog out would be good as they also aren't normally pedestrian friendly either.
Weather looks OK still this morning outside here at least, where are you going?

Sorry for the late reply, missed the post

We were on our way to Devon Cliffs Caravan park just around the corner to Exmouth. We made a mistake though, later in the season so the dog was not allowed on the beach. It will be our last visit as previous visits have either been at the start or end of the season when dogs were allowed. As it was we both were so full of cold we came home a day early too. Also, there is a military firing range next to the caravan park accessed through it. We were on the opposite side of the park but anyone holidaying next to the range must have been really pi$$ed off when the shooting went on until 11 pm on one occasion.

There is also a designated Dog Walk area on Sedgemoor services further down the M5 south west of Bristol.

Thanks, Jon, I will remember that as the next trip southwest will be back to Newquay for Christmas.
