When buying any used camper we always recommend taking along a damp meter these are cheaply available from Ebay and simple to use and can save you a lot of money and act as a bargaining tool.£8.79

Try everything electrical you can, ask about heating and water systems, and decide if its been lucky enough to enjoy winter storage out of the elements or has been damaged in the past

These are a heavy camper at over a tonne, so will need an American longbed 8' truck to use, so NOT for a European pick up

thing to check is water penetration at the corners, especially where the leg brackets fasten on. The body is made of plywood on a wood frame. Shrinking window seals and broken marker lights have allowed water to enter too.
Check for any sagging or damage of the front bulkhead as this will likely be an expensive repair

Legs are 'happijacs' and difficult to source here in the UK so make sure they work as they should
