Servicing Swedish Skarosser legs

Hi, I am new to this forum and have already found it very useful. I have an S-karosser EC6l and my legs are getting a little stiff. I was wondering if anyone had taken theirs apart to re-grease and how it went?

Hi welcome to forum, sure just pop the black plastic bungs out of the top and add some grease to the cogs inside,
as well you can just lengthen the legs until the lower half drops off the thread apply a glob of grease to the nut on top and reassemble, that is usually enough.

usually a combination of water ingress via those same plastic caps ( can get these) or the leg has got slightly bent in the past
worst case scenario NSR Wales can order you a new leg or more from Skarosser at a price

Thank you Zildjian, that is very useful information, your reply has given me the confidence to wind them apart and re-grease. Many thanks.

Here are pictures of my camper.

I bought it second hand in 2014 and the picture on the Isle of Barra at the bottom of the outer Hebrides was the first trip I did. I was living in Sussex at the time and I probably, should have gone somewhere slightly more local for a first run, but it all went well.

Welcome to the group Badger, I hope that your finding plenty of useful information on here & please don't hesitate to ask for any additional help. I to have an Skarosser on a double cab Navara & have carried out some pretty extensive work to the chassis.
Have a read of this thread & my report along with the photos link. You should find it interesting ;)

Hi, I have not got round to doing them yet, everything is still battened down for the Winter, but when things warm up a bit I will drop the camper onto the bed of the truck and take the legs off and give them a service. My caps all look in good condition, but if that changes I know who to contact thanks.

Hi Zildjian,

It all went reasonably well, the caps are all ok on mine, I have greased the gears and replaced. I also wound out the removable front legs so I could grease the nut which also went well, however on investigation I tried to remove the smaller non removable rear legs to do the same process and gave up in the end. They were too difficult to remove. Other than that all good thanks. :)
