Interesting read, and if pictures are go by, almost a shame to cover and use, nice job mate and a good blog too

Like a lot of things in wood, like boats or aircraft, it is as you say almost a shame to hide all that work from view, still Martin thought to document the build so its not lost
and very good it is, we just need to see it now

end must be in sight on this build as the exterior looks almost completed, still I suppose the inside could wait for winter if need be, are theri drawings for interior as well?

I believe Martin did have some drawings featuring interior of seating, table & bed at least, I'll see if I can find them

HOW many coats of varnish to get that finish? that looks like a mirror almost now :lol:

I think I've done 5 of varnish on top of 3 of epoxy sealant so far and am hoping to get away with just 2 or 3 more. The marine varnish 'experts' reckon it should have anything up to 12 coats! And then have an extra one each year!! :shock:
