Torklift Glowstep

I noticed a couple of these last weekend. A few queries:
Are they worth it?
Where did you get them from?
Anyone have the "All Terrain Landing Gear"? Do you get that from NASA?

than a new set by themselves

CR Brophy make a similar set out of aluminium checker plate. You can get them from ebay too. They are around the £250 mark to get them here same as the Glowsteps.

Star Spangled Spanner wouldn't get me a set as the shipping was too much and they are VERY expensive.

I got my replacement Glowstep set from Niche Marketing. Greg ordered a set to come in with a consignment of campers. He doesn't keep them in stock but if you gave him a few months notice he would bring a set over from the states. I decided to go for the Glowstep because you can lock them in place so they wouldn't be stolen again.

Admittedly they are expensive but imho they are worth every penny. I really missed having mine after they were stolen.

The Glowsteps are manufactured by Torklift in the states who will only take orders via an agent. I got mine via Panther RV in the states who I found to be extremely helpful.

Two models are available, one with 6 inch wide steps the other with 8 inch wide steps. They adapt to almost any height your mounted camper might be at as they are of the scissor style construction and are very rugged.

They are expensive with the import charges and shipping but in our opinion were worth every penny. They make getting in and out of the mounted camper very easy and safe.

We found the four step version right for our Apollo/Navara whilst mounted, not needed when unmounted.

I've just ordered our Glowsteps from the USA through Amazon - 3 steps, 6" tread.
£198.07 inc. delivery and taxes. Hopefully take about 2 weeks.

Thanks for all the advice, Chris

Get ready for the import duty & vat charge payable to the courier on delivery, Chris.

It should be 10% Import Duty & then 20% VAT ;) ;)

And I don't think asking for them gift wrapped in something festive is going to work either,
had an invoice on some monitor hardware quickly followed with a rather stern looking invoice,
then the manufacturer stateside had even sent something quite different (but more valuable) which I was able to resell her and buy what I'd actually asked for.

not actually a fan of dealing with American Co's any more that Chinese as its the return option is essentially removed
