After seeing this one in the ad section, got me thinking, would this be classed as towing due to them wheels that have been added to the rear? Is this kind of outfit even legal to drive in the UK?

Bit of an odd one really isn't it, not new for American market

but Holland in the advert is the nearest I've seen certainly to our shores, you'd certainly like to imagine castors rather than scrub around

They don't look like castors in the video. I doubt that this is even roadworthy, it's clearly way outside the design envelope of the truck. You might as well buy a fifth wheel if you want to tow a rig that big.
2003 Ford Ranger 2.5 TD 109 Supercab, sold to Simon
Tandy Pony, sold
Northstar 750, sold
K33F-built Penthouse Pee Pod, sold to Simon with the Ranger
Built the lozenge for my wee sister, its now finished and in regular use
Now converting a blue Tranny.

This one's a 'Born Free' from about the mid 1970s. I have a vague recollection that the rear wheels were on a swivelling bogey axle, rather than fixed, but I may be wrong. I can't really see that that would help much anyway. :?:

I'm guessing that it's legal to drive in Germany though??

I guess it must be if they are sold there. I would think it would be a pig to drive. There's very little provision for vertical movement at the rear so it would be suspect off road or on uneven surfaces, like a speed bump for example. I wonder where it would break?

Good point about the speed hump, there are some huge ones here in the UK. :(
