13 pin curly lead. 'Suzie'

Postby earthman » 06 Nov 2016 22:12

I have a question for those of you who are using the 13 pin towing plug connector and a curly type extension lead, to connect the truck to the camper, where did you get this lead from?

All the ones I've found so far (like in the link below) state that they are NOT Suitable for Ancillary Charging Circuits, Fridge Supply and Reverse Lights on a Caravan.

If none of these extension leads actually contain the wires to power those particular items then what are you using? :?

Talk to Nolan Rumsby in Wales. He supplied one for me, although it was straight rather than curly.

Earthman I've edited the post to 'suzie' as that is what is needed
'extension cable' you can buy off the shelf at Halfords in non-curly, they sold me both Black and grey so I can work with truck (alongside) it over Winter for example when its off the truck

this place offer the 12N original (or (Black) in curly type but you want 13 pin I think

'Extension' is a misleading term isnt it. should really be 'connection' if anything and extension is what you use to plug the hoover into to hoover out the car

That's a good find and at a great price, however it only contains 8 wires, there's no wires for a fridge or aux battery so it's no good for caravan use basically. :(

So it is,
my fault that ignore it

I saw 13 pin plugs both ends and naively imagined they each had a wire attached, what a stoopid advert
