Have just been out to the camper to check over to find the temp at 19deg so the dehumidifier is doing two tasks keeping it dry and warm.

On the low speed setting I'm sure you could sleep with it on.

That is our plan too - I couldn't sleep with the compressor dehumidifier on, but I reckon this new one will be quiet enough. That should give us the luxury of waking up without condensation dripping down all the window glass, aluminium frames and moon roof. Plus, apart from the comfort thing, that is all condensation that is probably going to make its way into the timber work of the camper, since our camper was designed assuming everything wet was on the outside, not the inside

Wasnt there an advert on here about a silica gel unit you plugged in with its own built in drier (then replace to soak up more moisture

I think in "laundry mode" it runs almost continuously to get the as much moisture out of the air as possible. That would probably be too dry for comfortably sleeping in, but could be really useful for drying out a camper after a leak - i.e. the extremely dry air would probably draw out moisture from any woodwork that had got wet.

I have used it in laundry mode to keep camper warm overnight. It did make me cough a bit so maybe the air was too dry but the van was nice and warm in the morning.

The instructions say down to 35% RH so may be a little low
