I take mine off with a fork lift strapped to the roof rails.

I have ✖ bars fitted also so not to stress the roof takes no effort at all

Yup - that worked - hardtop now stored in a garage. Off to the weighbridge to get an empty weight and see what's on the rear axle prior to getting our Italian Tischer.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

I slide mine back and onto the trolley that normally partially supports the camper when its stored.

The trolley is now the canopy storage and can be easily moved to wherever I want it.

Mrs Rubberrat and I can easily slide the top off and onto the trolley, but its better with a stronger second pair of hands when I put it back, although a wooden box structure would keep the levels equal.
