The jack that came with my ranger is a bottle type but it really isn't man enough to lift the rear end of my fully loaded rig.

I just carry a small 2 tonne hydraulic jack on my Defender. Never had a flat but if I did I'd use the electric jacks on the back of my rig to do most of the work.
