Does anyone know where I can get a new spade type valve for my Karosser's grey water tank? My googling has not found anything.

Re: Grey water tank valve
I just followed one of Peaky's useful links viewtopic.php?f=36&t=369 and found this. I wonder if it's what I need?

Re: Grey water tank valve
First off Guy, what's wring with it? Has something broken or has it seized.
A call to the factory might spring some info as to who manufactured the knife valve - its bound to be a bought in component.
Or see if Golum can help with either a replacement or advice on whether its a UK available off the shelf generic item.

Re: Grey water tank valve
The previous owner told me he had a bit of a disaster; he had the Karosser on a stack of pallets and jacked up the front too far/fast and the whole thing slid off the back. It damaged the plastic skirting (which I am planning to replace with aluminium sheet) and this valve, being the lowest point. It has ground one edge down and it has always leaked - this weekend I had a 5" icicle hanging off it.

Re: Grey water tank valve
To be fair to the previous owner, most of the damage to the skirts is down to me doing a 3 point turn in a French lane when I reversed into a grass bank that looked miles away in my mirrors. I blame it on a failure in the Wife-Nav system as we shouldn't have been in that lane in the first place. I am considering one of those reversing cameras.

Re: Grey water tank valve
Easily done, I've grazed the back end a couple of times on tight turns, the back end sticks out like one if those Kardashian things.
Wait for others to come in, but I bet that knife valve is an off the shelf part. If you can repair the valve and the neck is leaking then plastic welding could be the answer.. There is a tank repair company in the UK that advertises in the motorhome mags.
No excuse for the pallet mishap though. Care & patience saves the wallet..
