And this is what the demountable replaced, ford transit travelhome, 45k miles, got fed up making up the bed. Did a lot of bodywork and water repairs on this, hmm sounds familiar! !

right,
SeriesIII, we had one of those for awhile what did you think of it?

as a project between you what was involved, it would have at least been straightforward to work on

Ive had a series of landrovers over the years, series 1, 2A, two of these stage 1 V8, 2x series 3 one of these retro fitted with a V8.
This last one was a bit of a project, clutch needed replacing, plenty of chassis welding as normal, front swivels and all the bearings. But it was good fun the roof and canopy all removed so was great in the summer.
Its amazing that you can get all the parts still, i was on first name terms with Brookwells in Bovey Tracy, fortunately I have customers in that part of the world so Im often passing their shop which was useful.
Missing the old girl, its now a coffee bar, the young lad converted it and does well at markets and events in Dorset.

My first camper a Citroen C35. I had arranged it all by myself.
We have used it for 13 years and with we visited Portugal, Spain, Belgium and Nederland and Scotland in 1998.

No, on the Tischer, as i have a side door, I am building a new and different. This bike rack is always on the Holidaycar somewhere in Corrèze.

Mike, I've always had a soft spot for series threes. Owned two as my own fun toys - both soft tops, and a business I bought years ago came with three - but they were worn smooth and were sold immediately.

Claudius, I rather like that old Citroen - it oozes frenchness! I'll add a pic of a similar thing I photographed in Portugal last month when I get to my laptop.

For me it was camping, without the need to buy a tent or all the tat that that goes with it, because i have always spent a lot of my leisure time fishing i just used my bivvy (that's a general term for the odd looking tents that anglers use to sleep in, normally dark green).

It meant no extra expenditure on my part and i did always get some odd looks at Festivals but it was always easy to spot when stumbling home to bed after a long day watching the music with the odd pint or two!

If we take any of our older Grandkids away on Family camping weekends it still gets used but not by Us, i like the comfort nowadays of the Demountable.
