What did you have before your current demountable?
We had a bit of a discussion on various threads about what drew you to your choice of demountable camper.
For me it was being on a 32 hour ferry journey with a bunch of Germans who had been overlanding around Arcadia (Greece) - with their demountables - mostly Tischers IIRC - the lightbulb moment .
I was running up to five vehicles (it varied slightly). (My Jeep as a daily drive, Mrs Rubberrats Roadster, a small Jumbuck pickup I bought for carting building materials, a campervan/motorhome for holidays and a classic VW campervan.. because we like them)
All a bit much (and expensive to keep) for two people really, so we decided to cull the fleet to two.
Buying a DCab pickup & demountable got rid of two straight away, and I decided that having an old VW that did 100 or so miles a year was frivolous so that went too. Now we have just the Chevrolet pickup & the Bosses little roadster plus the demountable.
Our last camper was a Trigano Tribute. A perfectly good camping machine, and I miss it a bit (Decent sized loo shower - got to destination quickly). It was a PVC (Panel Van Conversion). Bed was a pain to keep making up though.
So, what.. (with pics) did you have for camping immediately before your current demountable (inc previous demountables) ...tents can be included! Or are you completely new to this camping lark?

It was actually the 410. It had the 2.9l engine not the 2.3l. Slow as hell but it would pull a train and It was so simple to work on.

Charter yachts.
After a health blip and retirement at 49 we decided to buy a camper.

We did, the girls were 9 and 11, we used the various landmarks and cultures to link into the national curriculum, a bit loose but worked. They both returned to school and were still in the higher end of the class, and have both still achieved great GCSE's etc.rubberrat wrote:Outed!

I can't claim credit, it's Mrs. Eurosully who is the clever one and did most of the "teaching".
Great times, we went well north of the Arctic Circle in Norway (whale watching) and did most of Western Europe plus Czech Republec. 27,000 miles, 1 rear end crash, 1 visit to casualty, 50+ camp sites in 52 weeks....Awsome.....ready to do it again, as soon as the girlsare out of our hair!
