Have a look here:-
http://www.hamradio.co.uk/gadgets/dji/d ... d-5612.php
If you know a radio ham where you live, ask to see his/her copy of RadCom magazine for December 2014 on page 68., to read a review.
The makers website is here:-

"If you know a radio ham where you live"
Oddly enough there is a fellow quite close to here, his bungalow has had a giant aerial mast attached
all the years I've know it, so I surmise He's one.
A layby I park in to walk from often features a Transit van from which sprouts another great array of sorts,
Imagine in these days of instant email and Cellular technology Ham radio has been sidelined, all the same it must be interesting
to communicate with someone half way round the globe

There used to be a club locally although not recently noticed anything listed.
Ham radio was quite cutting edge once and also there occasionally stories in the papers of international emergency calls being 'picked up'

Re: Ham Radio
Ham radio has declined due to the internet and instant communications. However there is a recent increase, possibly due to the wider interesting ways to communicate without cellphones. I've been involved in emergency communications for 40 years in a few months time.
As Ham radio is OT, I'll not expand on this topic, but will be happy to receive e-mails direct.
This forum has it's own map displaying where some of us live. Imagine a map where your location changes as you travel in your camper. GPS receivers can navigate from A to B. What if B was a forum member on the move and you were A, also moving. There is an Italian GPSr that can navigate to a moving B, but requires B to be transmitting it's location. Google APRS.

At the bottom of the posting page, I click on the 'Upload attachment' tab, then 'Choose file' and go to the folder where the file is. That file is an 800 x530 jpg 169.7KB. When I click 'Add the file', the error message is displayed. Just repeated it on this posting.zildjian wrote:Reg I just posted that image above using your permissions, can I ask where & how your hosting your images please,

EDIT:
I did on my very first attempt when I joined, used the normal drag & drop but that did not work.
