I bit the bullet today & removed my factory fitted Navara roofbars.
I hardly ever use them & got the stainless M6 bolts, stainless washers & rubber washers.
It doesn't look the prettiest at the moment & I'm going to try & source either a clear or grey rubber washer so that they don't stand out so much against the silver paintwork
But at least I'm water tight

They just thread into a nut above the rooflining I suppose do they,
might be able to buy something like a colour coded mushroom topped rubber insert instead?
either that or smart LED rooflight bar

since you already have the mountings in place

Re: The Roofbars are Now Gone
Yes, there is a captive nut on the underside of the roof skin, but if you poke a screwdriver through the nut, then you hit the roof lining I'm not aware of a panel which covers the holes from Nissan, but may ultimately get 4 cover plates fabricated & bonded on with clear silicone & bolted down. I've also now no need for the platform which I used to raise the camper above the said roofbars. So I reckon I'm about 30Kg saving in payload. So I can now carry more Beer & Wine
