Cool tunes / what do you listen to

Well very few people actually think my musical taste is cool - One of my favourite albums is 'Tales of love, war and death by hanging'

But we do have some fav's for listening to in the truck

We also record in mp3 loads of radio comedy , dramas and factual programs from radio 4 and 4 extra

So what do other folk listen to

Radio 4 when driving alone. Mrs Rubberrat when driving with her. I prefer live music really and enjoy new bands.
Not sure I can pigeonhole my music tastes, but more Killers than Kylie.

Oh, my dog and I do a really good karaoke 'werewolf in London' rendition... I can sometimes get him to howl in the right places. Makes us look a bit stupid in traffic jams though.

Now you see I don't do live radio generally,
where I have a very eclectic collection on ipod I draw the line at opera/choral though

Buy most of cd's from live gigs being a folkie/folk rock fan

Radio 4 is our station of choice and they podcast programmes

Looking at my list I have 334 from our own correspondants downloaded and 51 infinite monkey cage episodes

Lisa falls asleep so I have to have something on to cover up the sound of her snoring

R4 was a staple on the road,
gardeners QT
The Archers, the archers!
amazing thinking back,

gave up on most live radio some time ago and found a cheat around the download ban imposed nationally
so (after also giving up on TV) I spend a lot of evening picking new music to download

I was in London every day at the time, Capital was great but bit sketchy, R4 was full if interesting things and they
(Archers) were usually on at lunchtime, tried it subsequently but didn't like it.

Difficult to listen to new music (if thats you thing) there's 'last FM' of course but my way of finding it is via
'mp3skull' where I search by random title words, find all sorts of weird & wonderful output,

only thing is 'skull' has an amount of religious & commercial content :D
so any word that might be used in a religious/commercial context should be avoided

I have a long time interest in Rock and METAL from Hawkwind early 70 s to Nightwish, Within Temptation, and Rammstein today.
In the cab it's road music from Rob Zombie and Metallica.
Day time radio it's Planet Rock.
That reminds me must get DAB in the camper.

Any other demountable metal heads out there?

What's your camper rocking to?

Lisa is my resident rock chick , hers is 80-90's stuff and no prog rock (except she will let me play jethro tulls christmas album)

Should try the DAB traveller thingy we have in the pickup, works in the car with a windscreen antennae but wondering if the overhang of the bed area will impede the DAB alot.

80/90's sounds OK

even some pro rock though strictly me, otherwise it would be non-stop 70's

(you can probably see why we settle on a neutral FM station to avoid conflict)
