Dash cam anyone?

Following an amusing insurance dispute a couple of years back I bought myself a bit of additional cover
and bought a camera.

Essentially plug & play its hard-wired into the ignition, starts up on key, and captures everything in front of bonnet in a continuos loop
this takes about a fortnight to complete with a 32GB card installed and can be reviewed at any time either on a PC or via small screen included with camera,
the one pictured is ebay at around £15,
so a no-brainer really with so many imbeciles on the road waiting to throw themselves beneath your wheels for some compensation

Stick a link up. The one I bought for our last EuroTour was rubbish and is sitting in a drawer.
I really feel the need to record the rear end of tractors on my daily drive. It will always be tractors...

Rubbish in what way,
in terms of resultant image there are nearly always three settings,
again with the settings the option to allow for direct sunlight flaring the image, that can be adjusted.

I wish I'd bought one before the last claim though not an 'official' camera, it would have settled an argument stone dead
that held up my pay out

After reading a few reviews I decided to go for this one.

Hopefully it never gets used for the purpose it was intended.

Thats a smart looking one, great,
the one I pictured has just been replaced after I found its suction cup thing had a fracture in it so I replaced it with on roughly half the size,

intended purpose?
Well I transfer off any amusing encounters as I go along (and there have been a couple so far)
I might put them up here as youtube link sometime.

Like most things that initially plug into the fag lighter,
you can expect to see these appear on new cars presently as a fixture I think.
wouldn't do without one now quite unobtrusive behind mirror

They would drive me bonkers, you definitely need a relaxed driving mode out there.

No point rushing anywhere out here. Nothing goes faster than whatever huge lump of agricultural machinery is in front. And today, there were five (yes five!) road closures between here and my destination just 10 Miles away. I have no idea why but they managed to cut Wells next the Sea off completely from the West. Some huge lack of joined up thinking by the utilities.

Anyway... Dash cams, mine was rubbish because it refused to do anything it was supposed to. Most buttons just made a click noise - I suspect they weren't connected. Wasn't worth returning to China of wherever I bought it from.

One of the many drawbacks to oriental trading, I can see why your'e so against GREAT WALL CARS :D

been obliged to order some air components lately from there as they seemed the only place I could, actually neither of them worked but since their's no chance of recourse I'm back to square one

Great Walls eh - well if they want me to have one for two years on a long term test then i'll roll one and write a glowing article, but if I have to use my own real money, then no chance.

By the way, if anyone doubts my Norfolk tractor grumbles, look what happened in my neigbouring village yesterday afternoon. Now just how do you do that...
