I bought it from an outfit that construct various pitches and tennis courts and such,
they towed bits of plant around behind it putting them overweight, probably not a massive amount
but as they like speccing their successive toyota's to the max in trim before it leaves the showroom so they added a tacho too

It's all about Gross Train Mass - if it exceeds 3500kg and for 'hire and reward' then you need not only a tachograph, but the relevant CPC training to go with it.

With our DC pickups, it doesn't take much to go over the 3500KG limit. My mate who uses his car transporter trailer behind his Navara is definitely on thin ice when its loaded. VOSA don't tend to play nicely.
