Curious
Re: Curious
Well the cold weather is coming and that almost always means leaks, it seems routine as the temperature drops the push fittings seem to fail a little.
so are you using compressor daily or forecort?

Re: Curious
I'm using a rechargeable battery powered compressor so I've got no need for a cable trailing to a 12 volt socket.

Re: Curious
Blimey a gadget I'd NOT seen,
On TV there's some competition to win a shedload or 'ryobi' power tools that have one shape battery to fit all,
Your compressor with an electic drill to wind the legs all running off one battery would be good though

Re: Curious
Nah
Get a proper compressor.......

OK I got mine when I had a small business selling off road accessories so it came in at trade price, but they are a fab piece of kit and will still be working when the Halfords one has gone to the great recycling site in the skye
Will put 90 psi in my Ivecos tyres

Re: Curious
that's my spare
thing to remember with those is make sure you leave the engine running in use or you might well find not enough battery to start the car afterwards

Re: Curious
The viar fitted beside motor under the bonnet is about the same size
and fills a 5G tank beside spare wheel, and that cuts out at 140PSI.... so they are indeed quite capable machines.
normally they end up on the low-rider market on VW dropped golf's and the like,
but are available in the UK

Re: Curious
Overlanders use them a lot - in sand the mantra is to drop tyre pressures so you need a reliable and easy way to get your tyres back to proper pressures.
we even have tyre deflators which can be set to a certain psi to deflate tyres.
toys toys toys......

ps matt is an official distributor for viair in the uk, also a friend , thought i should own up to that

Re: Curious
Wish I'd known that before,
the 'only' fella locally has recently given up fitting out cars as now does town bars full time (less hassle)
so now we don't have anyone really
luckily he sold me enough hardware to transfer between vehicles otherwise I would have had to import some of it
and I hate buying stateside as I almost always cop for import duty
