Gas lockers

Can only get the smallest calor bottles in my gas locker

Was going to put a gas-it bottle in the locker which would still give me room for a local cyl when travelling.

I'm 3cm short of getting a gas-it 6kg gas bottle in so looks like i'm going to have to look at raising the top of the gas locker

Hmmm the locker doors are small aren't they. My 6kg Calor Lites will only go in in one angled position, and even then it has to 'pop' through the edging trim. But 30mm is a lot to find.

I can get the bottle in at an angle but not stand it up.

The locker is below the wardrobe so I think I do have a bit of wiggle room to raise the top 40mm.

My Northstar came as standard with a Calor 4.5kg bottle. I had to take the angle grinder to it to modify the locker door and relocate the regulator to get a 7kg bottle in. I carry a Camping Gaz 907 as a spare - but then stowing the 7kg Calor becomes a right pain.

I did the same. I just had to cut a little of the door jam out to fit a 6kg Gaslow bottle in. I carry a 6kg callor lite in the Navara as an emergency supply which also fits in the locker.

Ah interesting, I can get 2 bottles in my gas locker, I run propane so the 4.5 kg is the same size as my 3.9. Its the main body of the locker is too short. to stand the bottle up.

This was one of the reasons for going to an electric fridge, to remove some gas useage, still got the heating, cooking and hot water on gas
