Winter hobby needed
Re: Winter hobby needed
Sorry
I started it cos we have a disused railway line in the village and you can only walk it so many times, then we found geo caching cos we bought a new GPS for the truck (Montana 600 - I call it a gps cos it does alot more than the average satnav) and it had a geochaching mode. So off we went.
Havn't done much this year but we will do soon now I'm a lot better.
Maybe we need a demountable camper club token to leave in each cache found - OH Zildjian.............
Our weirdest one is still the magnetised bolt, you found any interesting ones yet ?
Rich

Hang on a minute Rich - nothing weird yet - I only started today. Two small containers and a micro so far. Wonder what tomorrow will bring?
Its amazing that the ones I've found so far are near paths I've walked on loads of times without knowing they were there.

We were amazed too - one little film cannister hidden behind a BT cable box we had passed loads of times.

Looks far to energetic - are you planning to put the dog in the barrow?

Re: Winter hobby needed
I was thinking it has all the ingredients;
outdoorsy,
vaguely artisan since you could potentially use the barrow in construction,
simple to get into & (can) involve dog in exercise
so where's the down-side

If that doesn't work out then there is of course extreme ironing (invented by a Leicester bloke)

Wasn't that on the telly recently I'm sure I saw something about that, ironing honestly...
to my mind thats up there the re with I dunno' hedge laying, bell ringing, dry stone walling etc.
Great that people want to keep these old fashioned activities going so that future generations can see how we lived
then point & laugh at record it on their camera phones

I'm not entirely sure that 'extreme wheelbarrowing' is quite what you think....
