Hi All,
Picking up a Tischer 230s next month from Golum and just sorting out the truck modifications. Its a VW Amorak and happy with everything just could do with an accurate location of the rear eye bolts and would very much welcome a photo if possible,
Cheers
Ed

VW owners still quite scarce amongst us but I know Chris & Carol are Tischer owners too so I'll contact them as well

Chris will take some pics and post them as soon as he's cleaned the debris out of the truck bed (been collecting logs).

Can i ask what the upright wood/fibreglass and metal 'V' assembly is for at the far end of the truck bed going upwards. Is it some sort of bespoke additional fixing kit for the Tischer De-mountable?
Mike.

We have an Amarok and a 230S. Golum fitted the eye bolts. I’ll take a photo tomorrow and post for your information.

Hi Chris
Sorry, another question. Has the offside wheel arch part of the plastic bed liner been cut away because it was broken or is the Tischer 230S a really tight fit once fitted?
Mike.

At the front of the bed there is a horizontal aluminium bar (at floor level) which acts as a spacer and bottom support for the two wooden verticals (to which I attached some coconut matting as cushioning).
The verticals act as stops - when we load the Tischer we get the front end right up against the stops and then adjust it laterally.
Nothing has been cut away from the liner - I think you are looking at a shadow - pics taken on a bright, sunny afternoon (typical West Wales weather!).
Without wishing to make the proverbial egg-sucking attempt I presume you realise that the eye bolts are attached to the chassis and not just to the tub.
I suspect photos may not be enough for someone attempting this for the first time. We're open to visitors (we're near Carmarthen) and may be in Somerset/Devon soon.
Chris

Thanks Chris, well aware that they attach through to the chassis and support ✖ member, cheers
