Engine mapping

Hi, I recently had my ; Isuzu Rodeo, Single cab, 2011, 2.5 TD, 135psi Vehicle remapped. Cost €200.
I got it done as I was planning a trip to the French Alps and thought an extra few horses pulling wouldn't be a bad idea since I now have a yr 2000 Ranger demountable on top weighing somewhat more than my Suntrekker I reckon.
So far I am very happy with the result, as the engine noise is lower due to lower revs also resulting in better diesel consumption.
Yesterday I took on the famous "Alpe d'Huez" switchback climb and it was a joy to do as on each switchback I was able to go around in 2nd gear and not having to drop Bach into 1st. The acceleration away was superb and a great surprise.

The mechanic reckons I am now at approximately 180psi as the remapping usually adds about 30%( would need to go on a rolling road to confirm)

So all in all delighted.

Hi B

That's Great news. Would you be able to post a link to the company that did the work as i'am interested in finding out if i can get something similar done to my Mitsubishi L200 Single cab. I'am not sure if a 2005 2.5TD can be worked on so i would like a recomended company to make my initial enquiries to?

Sounds a healthy boost on tap
remapping is more the thing these days isn't it in the past i have tried a 'mode' plugged into engines wiring loom under bonnet which promised another few horsepower though result wasn't much to my mind

Hi Mike, the lads name is Romualdas, and his no.is
00353 879402465. That's a mobile number in Wexford Ireland, when in Ireland just put "0" before the '8' ;)
He says to your Q, " no problem, of course" but again all I can say is I'm a happy camper :)

B.
