Extended driving mirror's
Extended driving mirror's
I spotted these extended mirror's and wondered if any members have anything similar. As opposed to the tie/strap on types?

Re: Extended driving mirror's
In the past I have used clip on (slide over) sleeve mirrors which worked fine towing caravan
Re: Extended driving mirror's
The reason for my interest is because i do not have mirror extensions on my pick-up truck. A previous owner has fitted a pair of Leyland bus mirrors to the underside of the actual De-mountable.
Having owned this set up for eight years and covered 5k miles a year, i have had a very lucky 40k miles and never hit anything and, obviously, ripped the corner off the camper!
So i have decided to remove them and replace with an alternative.
First off i thought i had better check the legal requirement side of things, this link explains it all

I then found out that the extended arms in the original photo are Land Rover items
If i went down this route i will end up with the mirrors sticking out rather a long way when the De-mountable is not loaded or i could go for these fantastic American import ones
This is the link to these ones

Not sure yet, i'll probably just go to Halfords!!!
