I got dragged along to a Screwfix road show at the weekend. I must admit at this point that the thought of being surrounded by the latest 'Power Tools' fills me with dread but the lure of a Full English after made me go.
I got chatting to the Manager at the Ring products stall and after careful negotiation and utilising my show special £30 discount card, i came away with this for £8.95.
Has anybody got any experience of this model or have i wasted my money.
PS. Zildjian, how do i fit it, i'm the Bloke with no tools!

Re: Dash Camera
(many) just require a switched power source ie; come on with ignition and go off again with key out.
usually they switch on but run on a few seconds later with key out to close off the recording properly and contain a small battery of their own to do this.
you should have a long power cable ending in a cigarette lighter, just plug that in as lighter is in fact switched usually.
it may require a small SD card (take it to PC world and get an 8GB card, that should allow it to record several days roadtrips before overwriting itself with fresh recordings
When someone crashes into you, take camera and post it to me in SAE so I can host it on youtube and link it here

Re: Dash Camera
There's a video doing the rounds called 'first ever dash cam footage' but don't expect to see any Russian driver malarkey its only someone filming with a cine camera from passenger seat
