Rear Awning

I'm thinking of getting a rear awning for my Northstar which is mounted on a Ford Ranger.

I want something which will fit when the camper is either on or off the pickup. I don't want acres of space or additional rooms. It would be mainly for additional storage and somewhere for damp dogs to sit in between the great outdoors and a fairly clean camper. We might also want to sit out there with a couple of friend for the odd drink if it is cold/wet/windy or insects are biting.

I saw something about Vango inflatables on the Facebook group but then saw a comment about then being too wide for the back of the camper.

Any comments would be much appreciated.

I too would be interested in this.

I have a northstar also.
I'm toying with the idea of a tarp that I can mount back or side. With an awning as and when.

The general issue is height and clearing the rear door, I dont mind the outside space not touching the door making a joined-up space like a proper awning should, so I just bought a second hand Khyam XL tent and will attach the door flap to the the awning rail above that door.
Mike Doyle has a nice and well fitting proper awning on his rig.

I have one that came with my old Northstar. It's never been out of the bag to be honest. I can put it up and take some pics if you want. There was some pics of it on the advert but I can't find them.

I'd be interested in seeing some pictures of this kind of setup too.
