Pub stopovers

I can't remember where I saw this , maybe on FB. It is worth checking before hand how accurate it is.We are off to the Derby dales for a few days . We earmarked 4 pubs to try and find only one will allow overnight parking .

Hi Jim,

It was me that put the link on FB ;-)
A nice pub campsite we stayed at in Derbyshire was the Miners Standard just outside Winster.
You can parkup at the top end of the carpark for EHU or go in the field with the tents if your not bothered about EHU.
The food in there was Great !!!
The village is just down the hill with some good walks around & a nice pub for Sunday lunch (can't remember the name).

Thanks for the suggestions . Tonight we are at the Bluebell Inn . The say they do the best pies in Derbyshire !

The pies are good and the best I have had in Derbyshire , but this was my first .. Good place to stop over , outside loos which they leave unlocked .

Ooh camping on tarmac, that does have a slightly illegal feel to it I agree
(unless you're there for a wedding or someone's about to die/ give birth of course
